Travelling in western Rajasthan
one often encounters nomad tribes. The Rabari nomad tribes of Rajasthan
and Gujarat are made up of a large extended family groups. They herd sheep
and goats, and use camels to transport their possessions. The nomads often
camp on the edge of urban areas where there is itinerant work and they
sell milk and trade with locals.
