Delhi - 13 The Diwan-i-Khas (Hall of Private Audience) in the grounds of the Red Fort, Old Delhi. Shah Jahan commenced building the Red Fort in 1638 intending to move his capital from Agra to Delhi (Shajahanabad). Before Shah Jahan could move he was deposed and imprisoned by his son Aurangzeb who did move to the Red Fort where he governed for a short time - the first and only Mughal Emporer to rule from here.
