Hawa Mahal - Palace of the Winds in the pink sandstone typical of many of Jaipur's old buildings. The Hawa Mahal was used by women of the court who sat behind the honeycombed lattice screens to take advantage of the cooling winds, while still being able to see the palace activities without being observed.
