Umaid Bharwan Palace & Meherangarh Fort
West of the fort ramparts is a district of the old city
of Jodhpur where the houses are coloured with a blue wash. The blue wash is often described as designating the high-caste Brahmin residences, however the colour is also described by some as being the result of adding copper sulphate to limewash to protect houses from termites.
