Backwaters - 112 The palm-fringed Kerala backwaters is a system of natural rivers, lakes and creeks linked by canals. There are about 1500 kilometres of waterways stretching from Alappuzha near Kochi in the north, to Kollam in the south. This is one of the most tranquil and beautiful areas of India. |
