Black and White photos shot on film

PHOTOS from BURMA (Myanmar)

Despite a rather dubious political heirarchy (see note below) this beautiful country has so much to offer. The vibrant friendly people, who are mainly devout Buddhists, go out their way to make sure that Burma makes a good impression. Photos shown here are the beautiful Lake Inle, a boat ride on the Irrawaddy River from Mandalay to see the awesome and unfinished pagoda at Mingun, then a journey to the absolutely magnificent plains of Bagan where there are more than 2000 Buddhist temples and stupas, mostly built between the 11th to the 13th Centuries.

NOTE:
To go or not? Burma is ruled by an authoritative military junta, an antithesis to her peace-loving, friendly people. Your decision to travel to and within Burma would undoubtedly bring financial benefit to people directly and indirectly involved in Burmese travel and tourism. Be aware that
the military government controls many business enterprises in the country, including some hotels and airlines, and the money you spend will find
it's way to the grassroots people who need it most when you support non-government and smaller family enterprises.
