Rice planting in Bali. Cultivation of the rice paddies is done by both petrol driven mechanical cultivators and ploughs pulled by a pair of bullocks. Many Balinese complain about the quality of the newer high-yield rice varieties compared to the slower growing (and becoming uneconomical) traditional Bali rice.
