City Wall, Essaouira
The battlements surrounding the seaside town of Essaouira have a medieval look. Inside the walls, whitewashed houses with blue shutters line the narrow streets. There is no vehicular traffic within the walls making it a relatively peaceful place to stay. Essaouira is undoubtedly one of Morocco's best "unknown" coastal places - with beautiful beaches, plenty of good hotels and delicious seafood.
