#13 PAINTED ROCKS, TAFRAOUTE In the rugged Anti-Atlas country west of Tafraoute are the famous (and now faded) painted rocks. Belgian artist Jean Verame used 18 tonnes of paint and a group of Moroccan firemen to paint the granite boulders in 1984. |
