Volubilis #44
Volubilis was the most remote outpost of the Roman Empire. Originally set up by Rome to pacify the southern Berber tribes, Volubilis became an important produce supplier to Rome.
The ruins are visible for miles, sitting on a rise in the middle of some of Morocco's most fertile land. The ruins have some reasonably well-preserved mosaics, olive presses and buildings.
